This extension is built to integrate MacOS system backup utility "TimeMachine" with Raycast. With the help of tmutil CLI Utility, it offers users the ability to control their backups with ease.

Start Backup

Background

Perform a standard backup. This is equivalent to choosing "Back Up Now" from the Time Machine menu extra.

Stop Backup

Background

Cancel a backup currently in progress.

List Backup

View

Print information about destinations currently configured for use with Time Machine.

Show Status

View

Print information about the current status of Time Machine, or the status of the most recent backup. In order to get the most recent status, full disk access is required.

Clean Local Snapshots

View

Reclaim disk space by listing and bulk-deleting local APFS snapshots. macOS creates these when your backup disk is disconnected, silently consuming 50-200GB+ on Macs with limited storage.
